An OPC can be formed only by a natural person who is an Indian citizen and resident of India. The individual must be eligible to contract and should not be a minor. Only one person can be the shareholder and owner, and that person must appoint a nominee at the time of incorporation. A valid identity proof, address proof, and PAN card are required for registration. The individual should not already be a member or nominee in more than one OPC at a time. The registration is done as per the rules of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA).
